How it works

How do I download areas for offline navigation?

To download maps in the Skippo app for offline navigation, follow these simple steps:

Open the Main Menu:

Start the Skippo app on your device and go to the main menu. This is usually done by tapping on a menu icon, which may look like three lines, often located in the left corner. Select Offline Maps:

In the main menu, look for and select the ""Offline Maps"" option. This is the section where you can manage and create new offline maps. Create New Offline Map:

Choose the option to ""Create new offline map"" or a similar command that leads you to the map view for downloading. Select Desired Area:

On the map, mark the area you want to download for offline use. This can sometimes be done by drawing a box or adjusting a selection zone on the screen. Be Mindful of Storage Space:

Keep in mind that large areas or high-resolution maps can take up significant storage space on your device. Therefore, try to only download the area you really need. Start the Download:

Once you have selected the desired area, confirm your choice and start the download. Depending on the size of the map area and your internet connection, this may take a few minutes. Use Maps Offline:

Once the download is complete, the selected maps are available for offline use. You can now navigate in the downloaded area without needing an active internet connection. Remember to regularly update your offline maps to ensure you have the latest available information. If you no longer need certain offline maps or need to free up storage space, you can also delete these maps from your device via the same menu.
