How to Import/Export a GPX File?
We are currently experiencing technical issues with exporting GPX files. We understand that this is an important feature, and our developers are working on it and will release an updated version soon. We apologize for this.
How to Export a GPX File?
Exporting your GPX file in the Skippos app is simple. Note that you cannot choose which data to export, so when you export the GPX file, you export all routes, tracks, and saved locations. Follow these steps to export a GPX file:
- Open the Skippos app and log in
- Go to “My Skippo”
- Click on settings, the gear icon in the upper right corner
- Select “Export/Import GPX File”
- Click the “Export GPX File” button
- Choose which program to use to share the file
How to Import a GPX File?
When importing a GPX file into the Skippos app, it is important to note that all data in the file will be imported. Currently, you cannot choose a specific route to import. Therefore, all files, routes, saved locations, and tracks will be imported in one file. There is currently no way to delete multiple routes, saved locations, or tracks at once, each item must be deleted individually.
To import a GPX file on Android, follow these steps:
- Click on the file in the app where it was sent to you.
- If Skippo is not the default app, click on "more" and select "Skippo".
- Skippo will load the file, and routes, locations, and tracks will be imported into your profile.
If you have the file on your device:
- Under settings, find the button labeled "Import GPX File". A window will open where you can select the file.
- Locate your GPX file and click on it. The file will be imported into the app and included in your profile.
To import a GPX file on iOS, follow these steps:
- Click on the file in the app where it was sent to you.
- If Skippo is not the default app, click on "more" and select "Skippo".
- Skippo will load the file, and routes, locations, and tracks will be imported into your profile.
